These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cibus waitlist website at www.trycibus.com (the "Website"). The Website is operated by Cibus ("Cibus", "we", "us", "our"), a sole proprietorship based in India.
By visiting the Website or submitting your email address and phone number to join the waitlist, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, please do not use the Website or submit your details.
1. About the Waitlist
Cibus is preparing to launch a Health and Wellness Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product for individual consumers. The Website is a pre-launch page that:
Describes planned features of the upcoming Cibus product and how we believe it compares to other apps in the same space;
Allows you to join a waitlist by providing your email address and phone number so that we can notify you when the product launches.
There are no user accounts, payments, or product features available through the Website at this time. The Website's only functions are informational and waitlist signup.
2. Eligibility
By using the Website, you confirm that:
You are at least 18 years old;
You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your country of residence;
You will only submit information that belongs to you, and not anyone else's information without their permission;
Your use of the Website does not violate any applicable law or regulation.
We do not knowingly accept waitlist signups from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it.
3. Lifetime Discount for the First 200 Signups
As a thank-you to our earliest supporters, the first 200 people to join the Cibus waitlist will be eligible for a lifetime discount on Cibus subscription plans once the product launches.
The following conditions apply:
Order of signup is determined by our records. Eligibility is based on the timestamp at which we receive your valid waitlist submission, as recorded by our systems. Our records of signup order are final.
One discount per person. Only one lifetime discount may be claimed per individual, regardless of how many email addresses or phone numbers that person uses to sign up. Duplicate or suspicious signups may be disqualified at our reasonable discretion.
You must use the email address you signed up with. To claim the discount at launch, you must create your Cibus account using the same email address you used to join the waitlist.
The discount only applies if and when the product launches. The discount cannot be exercised before the Cibus product is publicly available. If Cibus does not launch the product, or later discontinues it, this offer will not become payable in cash or any other form.
Exact terms will be communicated at launch. The percentage of the discount, the subscription plans to which it applies, and the mechanics of claiming it will be communicated to eligible signups when the product launches. We commit to providing a meaningful, ongoing discount; the precise figure has not yet been finalised because subscription pricing has not been finalised.
Non-transferable. The discount is personal to you and cannot be sold, gifted, or transferred to another person.
Cannot be combined. Unless we expressly say otherwise, the lifetime discount cannot be combined with other promotional offers.
We reserve the right to disqualify signups that we reasonably believe to be fraudulent, automated, or duplicative.
4. Information About the Product on the Website
The Website contains information about planned features of the Cibus product, including descriptions of how those features are intended to work and comparisons to other apps in the health and wellness space.
All such information is provided for general informational purposes only and reflects our current plans. Features may change before launch, and we may add, remove, or modify any planned feature without notice. Comparisons to other apps are based on publicly available information about those apps as of the date of this page and are not endorsed by, or affiliated with, the makers of those apps. All third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
5. Not Medical or Health Advice
Cibus is a health and wellness application. None of the content on the Website — including feature descriptions, marketing copy, comparisons, or any future communications we send you — constitutes medical, nutritional, psychological, or other professional health advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The Website is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.
You should always seek the advice of a doctor or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have about a medical condition. Never disregard, avoid, or delay seeking professional medical advice because of something you read on the Website.
6. Acceptable Use
When using the Website, you agree not to:
Submit false, misleading, or impersonating information, including email addresses or phone numbers that are not yours or that you do not have permission to use;
Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Website, sign up multiple times, or otherwise manipulate the waitlist;
Scrape, harvest, or otherwise collect information from the Website by automated means;
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, our systems, or our data, or to disrupt or interfere with the Website's normal operation;
Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code to the Website;
Use the Website for any unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes the rights of any person.
We may suspend your access to the Website and remove your waitlist entry if we reasonably believe you have violated these rules.
7. Intellectual Property
The Website, including its text, graphics, logos, design, code, and the name "Cibus", is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by Indian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may view the Website for the purpose of joining the waitlist and learning about Cibus, but you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit any part of the Website without our prior written consent.
Any trademarks of other companies referenced on the Website are the property of their respective owners and are used only for identification and comparison purposes.
8. Your Feedback
If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Cibus product or the Website, you grant us a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use that feedback for any purpose, including incorporating it into our product, without any obligation to compensate or credit you. You are not required to send us feedback, and any feedback you do send should not contain anyone's confidential information.
9. Links to Third-Party Websites
The Website may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not own or control. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site, and your interactions with those sites are governed by their own terms and policies. We encourage you to review them before sharing any information.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability.
We do not warrant that the Website will be free of errors, viruses, or interruptions, or that any information on the Website is accurate, complete, or up to date. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty or right that cannot be excluded or limited under the law applicable to you as a consumer.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Cibus, its proprietor, employees, contractors, or service providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including, without limitation, loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, or loss of opportunity — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Website, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Website or these Terms will not exceed ₹1,000 (one thousand Indian Rupees).
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any rights you may have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 of India or comparable consumer laws of your country.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Website at any time. If you wish to remove your waitlist entry, email us at contact@trycibus.com and we will delete your email address and phone number from our records. Please note that removing your entry will also cancel any lifetime-discount eligibility associated with it.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Website, and remove your waitlist entry, at any time if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Website. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including those on Intellectual Property, Feedback, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law — will continue to apply after termination.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. If you have a concern or dispute, please first contact us at contact@trycibus.com so that we can try to resolve it informally.
If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, the courts of Bangalore (Bengaluru), Karnataka, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Website, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For changes we consider material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. By continuing to use the Website after the changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, please stop using the Website and contact us to remove your waitlist entry.
15. Severability and Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while still reflecting our original intent, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.
